Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoon sugar with or without black jelly bubbles
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 3 drops red food colouring
  • 2 tablespoon evaporated milk
  • ice cubes
Method:
  1. Boil the sugar and a 1/2 cup water together until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the food colouring and rose water.
  2. Pour the syrup into a jug, pour in the rest of water according to desired sweetness. Add the milk and ice cubes and stir.

An alternative for western palates would be to:
  1. sweeten some fresh dairy milk with sugar to taste.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp rose water.
  3. Food coloring or cordial
  4. ice cubes and stir or blitz to make a milk shake.
