Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons palm sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks lemon grass, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 700 gm (1 1/2 lbs) sirloin, thinly sliced
  • Skewers (soaked for 30 minutes to prevent charring if on bbq)
  • romaine lettuce leaves
  • cilantro for garnish
  • basil for garnish
  • mint for garnish
  • thinly sliced green onion for garnish


Method:
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the palm sugar, soy sauce, pepper, garlic, lemon grass, and sesame seeds.
  2. Place the meat in the dish. Cover, and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill for high heat. Thread meat onto skewers accordion style.
  4. Cook 5 minutes per side under a grill or on a bbq.
  5. Serve hot from skewers, or remove from skewers and serve on lettuce leaves.
  6. Garnish with cilantro, mint, basil, and sliced green onions and Nuoc Cham sauce.
