Ingredients:

  • 350 g (12 oz) Shrimp, shelled and cleaned.
  • 1 loaf White bread, trimmed of crust and cut into half
  • 480 ml (2 cups) Oil

Seasoning :

  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Item A :
  • 6 Water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Diced spring onions (scallions)
  • 1 tablespoon Diced red chilies

Method:

  1. Dice the shrimp finely
  2. Mix shrimp meat with all the seasoning ingredients in one direction until the mixture is sticky.
  3. Add ingredients from item A.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Steam bread till soft.
  6. Spread shrimp meat filling onto bread and roll up neatly.
  7. Heat up oil in wok.
  8. Deep fry rolls on low heat till golden brown.
Serve hot with chili sauce.
